Photo101(11): Pop of Colour [A Study in Pink].

I wish today’s theme had come before I started photographing my gnomes yesterday, they seem like the ultimate “pop of colour”. I had the theme in the back of mind all day and decided to do a study in pink (thank you, Sherlock).

Those who know me well, know that I love pink, I have decorated in pink, I party in pink, I even drink pink cocktails πŸ™‚

I do love colour of all shades, but pink really resonates with me. I picked up a new wall hanging this weekend and so it has inspired my header shot and therefore the colour theme for today’s POP.

I hope you like these photos, they are all taken in my home and garden (except the cherry blossom, I would love one!) andΒ I think they show you the spirit of who I am.

I hope I’ve done this theme justice, here’s a silly one just for fun.

Heh heh thanks. It was my birthday and two little girls came along, both wearing these and they insisted I wear them!

What a fun post, Desleyjane! My favorite is, of course, the very last one πŸ™‚ but the close up of the ball fringe comes in a close second πŸ˜‰ I love how you see things through your lens!!

I had to go check – you mean the silly one of me!! Heh heh. Thanks Stacy, it’s so much fun, this photography caper πŸ˜€
The pom pom fringe is on some footstools that I recovered myself with a decadent cream and black fabric. I needed something to tie it in with my “theme” and these little pom poms jumped out at me.
      Thanks again! X
