Justine at Eclectic Odds and Sods, as I’m sure you know, hosts Eclectic Corner. This 8th edition is entitled “Splash of Colour” and asks us to submit a photograph depicting a splash of colour. I decided to also include a splash of water 🙂
Justine also suggested we include a haiku and/or a quote about colour. My (alleged) haiku above is actually relating to the photo, not to colour. Here instead is a lovely quote about colour:
I love the sea’s sounds and the way it reflects the sky. The colours that shimmer across its surface are unbelievable. This, combined with the colour of the water over white sand, surprises me every time. – John Dyer
I took this photo in Lifou in the South Pacific, with my Olympus OMD EM5 with the 60m (120mm equivalent lens) at f/11, 1/500s and ISO200. I have only adjusted highlights, shadows, blacks and whites in Lightroom. I had to go back and check to make sure that I hadn’t bumped up the colour or saturation because those orange floaters are SO bright. But no, the colours are “as shot”!
