When I was out doing Gidget’s Photo Shoot in my garden, I took a few shots of some potted cactus and decided to have a little play with them in LightRoom. In the next ImageReboot post, I will be talking about White Balance for the first time, and I’ve spent quite a bit of time experimenting with this in LightRoom. These images were created by adjusting the white balance (temperature and tint) of a single image. You can find out more in the next ImageReboot.
This is a single image, taken with my Olympus OMD EM5 with my 60mm (120mm equivalent) lens at f/4.0 and 1/250th of a second – fairly standard settings. I am adding these photos to Lucile’s Photo101 Rehab Clinic – click on through and take a look at some great posts.
Here is the original image, which I actually quite like as is. I find cactus are quite fascinating – such interesting colours and textures. I think this one looks a little like octopus tentacles!
