While Lucile is on vacation with her family, I am running our challenge solo this week. But I bet Lucile pops in to say hi 😉
So just as a reminder, here’s what this challenge is all about:
Cover Makeover!
What’s the theme? To make a cover for the book, CD or movie that we will share with you every Thursday.
How does it work? Here is the Drama Queens’ prescription:
- Every Thursday we will give you the name of a book or movie, etc. and share with you our take on a new cover.
- You will prepare you own cover by using your archive photos or shooting a new one to go with the theme.
- Prepare your post and publish it. Remember to Ping Back (hyperlink) to this post.
- You may also copy your link to the comments section of this post.
- Use the tag #PhotoRehabCoverMakeover, so that we can find your post in the WP reader.
- Add your photo to the link provided below. In this way, you expose your photo to the other participants and the audience of the Photo Rehab.
- If you wish, you can add to your post the badge we made for the challenge (below).
- We will make a weekly wrap up of all the ingenious cover makeovers photos!
Now for this week, we have a movie. The movie is called Winter’s Tale and stars the wonderful Colin Farrell, Jessica Brown Findlay (from Downton Abbey) and Russell Crowe. I (Desley) have seen this film and really enjoyed it. You don’t have to have seen the movie in order to participate. But, it will be interesting to hear from you whether knowing something about the movie helps you or hinders you with the challenge!
I thought that it would be a good reminder for all of you lucky northern hemisphere bloggers to remember what winter was like, and find a wonderful wintery photo to share for this challenge. And think of us southern hemisphere bloggers (I’m in Australia) as we are in winter right now.
The tagline for Winter’s Tale is “This is not a true story. This is true love.”
“This Valentine’s Day, Believe in Miracles.”
There is a supernatural element to the movie, as Colin’s character is shown to us in different times in history. I won’t give away the elements of the film, but it’s beautifully shot, magical and it looks very cold 🙂
