The Daily Post’s Weekly Photo Challenge this week asks us for our Inspiration – what makes us get up and go each day, makes us happy. Of course, there are a number of things – family, friends, missG, nature, so many things that are inspirational, or that motivate us to get up and DO something.
For me, right now, my biggest inspiration is photography – I am inspired to go out with my camera and see what I can find through my lens. It even gets me out of bed 😉
The other morning, I woke up before 6am and noticed a very heavy fog – unusual for Brisbane and it was just 7 degrees Celsius. Usually, at that time, I would have gone back to bed for another hour. I lay in bed for a few minutes, but couldn’t help it, I had to go out and try photographing the fog. The photos are fine, but my street isn’t very exciting (and I was in my pyjamas) so I ventured out to the back garden where I discovered that everything was covered in a very heavy dew.
A usually very uninspiring plant was transformed into bejewelled fabulousness.
I have this plant scattered throughout my garden edge and there are two varieties as you can see – red-tinged and purple-tinged. Here is what the reddish plants looks like sans dewdrops:
