Wheel-ly Long Exposures

This post is for the Photo Rehab Clinic’s Tech of the Month (Long Exposure), a join feature between luciledegodoy.com and perelincolors.com. This month, she asks us to experiment with longer exposures.

I had a short time before dinner on Saturday night, so we went to see the Brisbane Wheel and take some shots at different shutter speeds. I took these with my Olympus OMD EM5 (of course) with the 17mm lens. I didn’t have my tripod so I rested my camera on a post with the lens propped up on my purse – quite precarious but it worked fairly well, despite being a little crooked – eek!

This was just a quick study, but effective to show us what happens when you slow down the shutter speed. Be sure to go check PerelinColors original post to see some great shots and wonderful tips.

          🙂 It was quite dark so there is not much difference in the colour – just some yellow tinge to the light and a little bit of red in the lights below the wheel. xx

              Yah that’s where the wheel is but didn’t have much time. I’ve done slow shutter there in a previous changing seasons.

    I often end up using my surroundings as a tripod too, because the tripod likes to stay home alone…
