Blue Flowers in a Blue Sky.

Another couple of shots from my garden, taken during a recent shoot – actually these are from the neighbour’s garden – they are poking out above the fence, waving in the breeze. I should know what it’s called, but I don’t. Anyone?

I don’t think we can trust Pommepal. She lives with a larrikin, and come on…plumbago? ๐Ÿ˜‰

Lovely capture of Plumbago. Mine are just stating to flower. BTW I really like your new header photo and how you have, artistically created the lettering with the drop shadow.

Thank you PP. I knew you’d be able to tell me what it was. And thanks for noticing my new header, I played around for a little while to get it just right.

Just having a browse through your posts – I hadn’t realised that you were a flower freak like me! (And I thought I had followed you, but obviously not) if you haven’t already been told these look like Plumbago, a gorgeous summer-sky blue. We used to grow it in South Africa, but I think it is too delicate for the UK. Maybe I can grow it in Cornwall if I ever get there!

Oh yes! A flower freak through and through ๐Ÿ˜œ๐Ÿ’ Such good subjects. Yes, thank you a few people knew this one. I can’t believe how little I know about plants, especially when I photograph so many of them. You’ve lived in South Africa too? How wonderful to have spent time in such different places!

South Africa seems a lifetime ago I have been back in the UK for so long, and yet in some ways it still feels like home. Possibly why I am drawn to Cornwall. Apart from the lack of mountains it has a similar feel to me as Cape Town did.
