The Lines in the Light

I was struck by this scene, as we walked beneath the Sydney Harbour Bridge. The sky was completely grey and this beautiful fence stretched out along the path.

I deliberately took the photo with the aperture wide open, so that the shot was slightly overexposed. Then, when editing in Lightroom, I bumped the exposure up a little more, and upped the contrast and clarity as well to enhance the black lines on the white background.

I like the minimalist nature of this image, as well as the overall tone. I hope you do too.

A fun photo and edit. Usually we don’t notice the railing due to the back drop at Circular Quay.

Thanks so much. Yes that’s true! I have used parts of the railing in my shots of
Lunar park – it’s on that side as well.
