Another set of shots from our Still Life Workshop at Julie Powell‘s studio.
This was fun. We shot on a mirror with a white canvas behind the mirror. It’s a bit of work to get all the parts in the right place at the right time, but the payoff is awesome.
I brought out the chemistry by filling the bottles with bicarbonate of soda in water and then the photographers lined up, ready for me to add the vinegar so that they could get the shots.
I didn’t have enough bicarb in the water, so it didn’t fizz as much as we would have liked, but the effect of the bubbles was still cool. There’s a recipe for an experiment here where I make popcorn dance up and down in liquid. Very cool fun.
