A Ranunculus Study

Julie and I spent a long, exhausting and utterly brilliant day in her studio playing with all sorts of wonderful photography-related thingies.

These Ranunculus flowers were going to be deconstructed. Actually we did chop one up but it wasn’t pleasant, so instead here are some macro shots of these gorgeous and intricate flowers.

We had them on black perspex which gives a mirrored effect.

And again, I tried to go as close and detailed as possible to get those little hairs and textures. I love this little hobby of mine 🙂

    Stunning as usual Desley………..oh how I envy your macro shots, mine simply can’t compare! : -). But it was such a fun day, we need to do it again soon.
