The Huangpu River View

I was in Shanghai last week. It’s such a long flight, it seems so silly to go for such a short time. I left Melbourne on Tuesday morning at 8am and arrived in Shanghai Tuesday night at 10pm Melbourne time – so that’s 14 hours of travel. I spent Wednesday to Friday in a sales meeting / training session and left Shanghai on Friday night at 8pm.

So 28 hours travel for 3 days work (I was in Shanghai for 74 hours) – no wonder I’m so tired.

But, Shanghai is amazing – the small part that I saw was bright and colourful and full of people. It seems like there is a lot to do, the food is fantastic, it’s so vibrant and it feels like there is always something happening.

Here are a few photos from one night after dinner when we took a walk down by the Huangpu River.

Love the reflections.
I really slowed down the shutter.
This building is amazing.
I could have stayed here for hours.
Actually it was getting quite cold.
A beautiful city.
I love playing with aperture.
Panorama stitch.

I’m not overjoyed with how these shots turned out. Lightroom doesn’t do any camera corrections for me anymore. The Olympus cameras and lenses have dropped out of the list and I don’t know why. Does anyone have any ideas?

I’m happy to be home, but I am really looking forward to visiting Shanghai again!

      So I did some reading and found out that it’s apparently done automatically for micro four thirds cameras. But some of the shots have very bending-over buildings 😬

    Wow!
    It looks like most of the buildings are highlighted along the Huangpu River.
    It looks amazing but I would imagine that stargazing is not a past time there.
    Photos are amazing like always.

    Lovely shots. Your life sounds like the Big T’s. He travels a lot to Asia and the US and spends more time in transit than actually at the destination sometimes. And what does he see of the places he visits — airports, train stations, hotels and conference rooms. 😦
