The Flowers (and things) of Hobbiton

As promised in my last post, here are my flower photos from Hobbiton in Auckland, New Zealand.

Of course, I had my macro lens with me (just the 30mm, not my baby 60mm), so I swapped in and out with my usual 17mm lens every time I spotted something pretty.

Firstly, we spotted a butterfly outside the first hobbit hole.

Thanks to Moana for posing in this last batch for me😊

I just loved the cottage gardens of this magical place. Did you have a beer or cider in the old pub?

Me too. Simply adorable. And yes I had a beer. Moana had a cider. Just what we needed 😊

Pretty much a typical English country garden – except for the Monarch butterfly! Such a gorgeous ‘stained-glass’ appearance.

It was just stunning – a beautiful little world inside a big gorgeous green landscape.
