Thanks again to everyone for participating and supporting our challenge, we are so happy with the involvement and astounded by the creativity each week. Last week, we did a CD cover and I think that’s been my favourite one so far. The album was Simply Red’s Simplified – here it is, along with my version of the cover:
Now, here are all the wonderful versions that we received throughout the week. I’ve included the link to their blogs – please visit them to see all of their creative works. If yours isn’t here, please let me know, there were a couple that I found that were tagged correctly but didn’t end up in the Reader!
First up, Julie Powell gives us a wonderful makeover with a beautiful dark and gritty cover. Take a visit to her blog to find out how she created this very cool effect:
Next is Deb, from Deb’s World, with a fabulous splash of colour – go visit her to be surprised about where the splash is from!
Now, it’s imaniking, with a very cute cover and she has even given us a lovely poem:

Disperser Tracks has come to the party again, this time with an entertaining tale describing the process of creating the cover – and an alternative music choice as well:

Next is Terri from The Beespeak, with a lovely cover, very different to the others, a natural and sweet image with a pretty simplicity to match the theme:

And here is Colleen’s from Silver Threading, with a gorgeous sunset image creating her cover:

Next is Zimmerbitch, who shows us a simply beautiful piano closeup for her cover:

Thank you again. What a marvellous bunch of covers! Love them.
Now, for this week’s challenge, we are back at a book. It’s The House We Grew Up In, by Lisa Jewell. Here is an exceprt from the Goodreads description:
Told in gorgeous, insightful prose that delves deeply into the hearts and minds of its characters, The House We Grew Up In is the captivating story of one family’s desire to restore long-forgotten peace and to unearth the many secrets hidden within the nooks and crannies of home.
Here is the original cover:
I am intrigued by the cover, it implies fragility in this family drama and then after reading the description, I think I want to read this book!
Stay tuned! Lucile’s fabulous Cover Makeover of this book cover, is coming right up ๐
