We’re back again for another Contemplation – where I share with you a prompt from my Kikki.K A Sentence a Day journal, and invite you to share you response along with me.

The prompt for today is a fun one, not too deep: What’s your favourite cliche?
Ha! I love cliches. I have a friend who gets hers mixed up all the time and it cracks me up.
My favourite is one from my childhood: What am I? Chopped Liver?
Hahaha, do you know this one? We use it when we feel left out, or if someone has passed us over. If my friend says – I’m throwing this cupcake out because nobody wants it. What am I, chopped liver?!
A more practical cliche that I use all the time is this one: What’s done is done.
I’m a big believer in not worrying about what could have been or what I should have done. Just take it in your stride and use all that energy to actually fix the problem or move in a new direction. Spending time worrying about what went wrong, lingering on what you did really doesn’t help fix the situation, just fix it. I DO think it’s good to come back later, after you’ve sorted it out, after you’ve moved on and fixed the problem. Come back then and take a look at what went wrong, analyse how it happened and what you could do differently in the future, next time, to avoid the same disaster/catastrophe/minor annoyance.
Ok, over to you – what’s your favourite cliche?
