Five Minutes with a Thorny Flower Crown – RegularRandom

This week’s RegularRandom features a succulent that I have photographed before, for one of my first RegularRandom posts, here.

Here are the rules:

  • choose a subject or a scene
  • spend five minutes photographing it – no more!
  • try to not interfere with the subject, instead see it from many angles, look through something at it, change the light that’s hitting it
  • have fun!
  • tag your post #regularrandom and ping back to this post

Today, I also included a little random editing. I used some new Lightroom Presets. I hope you enjoy and I look forward to seeing your RegularRandom shots.

I love how you photographed, this Desley. It looks like a prickly little birthday cake.

I was going to say not unlike a cupcake … till you bite into it. These magnificent shots show me yet again why people become obsessed with cactus. They really are beautiful, and your camera has captured every element of that beauty. Great use of negative space and angles.
