I’ve always had a thing for the Eiffel Tower. Seeing it in person was quite an experience. We were driving around on the hop-on-hop-off bus, everyone chatting and trying to keep warm on top of the bus, when I caught a glimpse, just before that first shot below.
Such a thrill to get that first look, a special feeling, I was in love again. When we pulled up at the Trocadéro, I absolutely had to get off the bus and spend a short time there to get this first set of shots.
And then back on again for a closer look.
I think it was at this point that I decided I definitely have to come back to Paris. I can’t tell you how good it felt to just forget everything else and really be there, in the moment.

I remember that moment too. Long before all the security concerns (or massive queues).

I had my 10th birthday in France, a few days before my birthday we were in Paris and Mum said I danced under the Eiffel Tower…I wish I had photos of that. I have not been back since, perhaps one day

It is definitely iconic! Fabulous at night too when all lit up.
