A Peachy Disbud

The last of the disbuds from my little bouquet – these are a beautiful peachy pink, and simply gorgeous.
Such a perfect flower.

    Have to confess that I had to look up the word disbud – never heard of it! I see they are simply Chrysanths that have been specially grown for florists with only one bud left on the stem. As usual, lovely macros from you. Hope everything is OK with you, the weather has been extraordinary in your country.

      Thank you so much Jude! They’ve fascinated me for ages. They’re often sold with a net around the bud to hold it closed up. I love photographing them. They’re so detailed. Everything ok here, I see your comment was before the pandemic. It was also a couple of days before my new shoulder surgery. So much has happened, I’ve been away so long. Hope you’re well. X

        Sorry to hear the shoulder injury is still bothering you. I hope that now you will make a full recovery. We’re doing fine, but getting a bit fed up with the restrictions.

          Thanks Jude. I’m just 11 weeks post-surgery (the other shoulder) so it’s as expected. Yes restrictions are very hard, I’m just glad that I can go to work.

              Yes left shoulder was 2017 and then the right one was just in March. Same problem both sides. But I’m on the mend now and the left shoulder is pretty good 😊 Thank you.
