Curses.
Curses.

I was so excited when I took this photo. It was in Lifou (in the South Pacific). A group of dancers entertained us for about half an hour and this dancer was the most serious the whole time, even afterwards when the others were interacting with the crowd. I captured this image and I felt like he might be putting a curse on me! Luckily, I was wrong 🙂

So Cardinal nominated me for the B&W challenge (one B&W photo per day for 5 days) and my first submission was one of my favourite portraits, so I’ve decided to try to post 5 portraits during this challenge. For day 2, I would like to invite Lisa from graydaysandcoffee to join us.

In addition, this photo is also my submission to Lucile’s Photo101 Rehab Clinic – I think I must be running behind!

I took the photo with my Olympus OMD EM5 with my 60mm macro lens (this is a fantastic portrait lens). Aperture of f/2.8 and shutter speed of 1/800s at ISO200. It was a gloriously bright day so no issues with light 🙂
