Some birds are not meant to be caged, that’s all.– Stephen King, Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption.

The reason birds can fly and we can’t is simply because they have perfect faith, for to have faith is to have wings. – J.M. Barrie, The Little White Bird.

2015_Kingscliff-5

These photos are going to Lucile’s Photo101 Rehab Clinic. I used my Olympus OMD EM5 with my 60mm (120mm equivalent) lens. My settings were at f22, 1/60s at ISO200.  We were at the beach in Kingscliff, a small seaside town in northern New South Wales. It was about an hour before sunset, we were having a break between our meetings and our work dinner. I’d like to write a post about the meeting actually, so I will try to get that done in the next few days.

I hope you enjoy this inquisitive little seagull. I should mention that he was eyeing off my bottle of pear cider, it was delicious but I didn’t let him share it 😉

  1. Good evening DJ! What a cute little fellow! How much did you pay him? Lol I’m disappointed with your refusal to share your drink with him.
Now serious. I love the words you chose to perfectly match the photos.
It’s so true that we are so often ‘cutting our flights short ‘ for lack of confidence.
We’re both into birds’ introspection this week.!
    Thanks! Xx
