When I did one of my recent Changing Seasons shoots, I was happy to see so many people out and about on a cool Winter’s Day, enjoying the sunshine and some even braving the water! I thought I would share with you some of the fun shots from that day š
Such happy days.
I also wanted to share with you a couple of other water features at Southbank.
This first one is so cool, water fills each cup at different rates and then they tip over and douse the people underneath! Love it!
This second one has water slowly building up pressure and raising up from the ground. Kids stand on it and wait with gleeful anticipation for the water to turn to jets shooting straight up. I, on the other hand, loved getting these sharp, high contrast images instead š

Thank you. You know I’ve lived here for 15 years and I’ve done 6 of these Changing Seasons shoots and this is the first time I’ve noticed them!

Yes! That’s true. Won’t be long, it’s starting to warm up already. Well… I mean it’s not super cold anymore. š

That is definitely something that you won’t see on a winter’s day around here – not even on a warm one!!

Ha! Yes it’s Winter here and we’re heading for a top of 23 tomorrow and we’ll get down to 14 tonight. Celsius, of course!

Yes, Celsius of course! That and Kelvin is the only measuring that makes sense (but Kelvin not so much when talking about weather temperatures…).
23 tomorrow and 14 tonight, we’d call that a nice summer! š

It’s warm enough to play outdoors in the water???!!!
If this is winter where you are, then I’m living in the wrong place.
If that was winter here those kids would be on skates š

Thanks, yes very brave but they were having so much fun, squealing in delight. Dramatic bubbles are the best kind, right?! X

I’m not sure PP. I haven’t seen them before either… Although the more I look at them, the more I wonder if they are ringing a bell from ages ago….
