Monochromatic Selection

Here is my selection of shots for The Daily Post’s Weekly Photo Challenge: Monochromatic, tasking us with showing shots were one colour predominates the frame.

I love all of these, as usual, but the elephant is my favorite. It’s so simple, but so powerful. The detail of its skin is simple stunning. I think it’s so fascinating, pondering the life in such a huge creature like that. I get to go to an elephant sanctuary while in Thailand and I just know that is going to be an amazingly memorable experience.

Thank you Britta. My best friend went to Thailand for a couple of weeks and loved the elephants. I gave her this photo on canvas a few Christmases ago. And then we did another one recently.

Thank you. I’m still in Brisbane and most of the shots were taken here, except two were from cafes in Amsterdam and Melbourne.
