I haven’t travelled since I moved to Melbourne in January, but this week I had a doozy of a trip.
It started with a weekend in Brisbane for my best friend’s birthday. What a fun weekend, we had such a good time and it was really good seeing these guys again. Massages, dinners, cocktails, way too much wine, not enough sleep, but a hell of a lot of fun.
In this post, I’m just sharing the iPhone shots. I did photograph the whole weekend with my Olympus, but I haven’t processed those yet.
I then flew to Newcastle for a conference in the Hunter Valley, which is a wonderful wine region a few hours out of Sydney. Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to visit any wineries or do anything else because the conference was so busy. But it was a good conference with lots of interesting conversations and lots of people coming to see our microscope.
Finally, when I arrived home, I picked up my little Miss Gidget from the lady who minded her. She seemed to have had a good time, but may be slightly confused about where she lives now. She kept waking me up all night which resulted in this:
I’m looking forward to having a fairly chilled out weekend. How about you?
For Lisa at Gray Days and Coffee‘s iPhriday event, where we all share shots from our smartphones.

Happy birthday, then! 🙂

I have to say that cake didn’t look big enough for sharing 😦

LOL. We all had indulgent and decadent desserts but the restaurant gave her that one as a little surprise so that we could sing happy birthday. The next day was her actual birthday and we had lots of cake. Photos to come soon!

Thanks yes she is. Sleeping on my lap right now, most likely dreaming about going for a walk.

What a way to celebrate a birthday. Even the sky is in celebration mode. A great digest of a busy week – with a happy ending!

That’s such an excellent set of photos! They’re nowhere near what one imagines classic phone shots are – these are so not random and so not poor quality, your phone pics are just as great as from a camera!

Thank you Mara! It’s the iPhone6 – the camera seems much better than the old ones.

LOL she’s pretty cute. Last night I bought her very first coat – bright pink knitted turtleneck – because it’s much colder here and she looked so adorable in it.

Thanks PP, it was great fun. GG is happy now although she seemed to enjoy her time with Tess – she had 2-3 other little pups to play with as well while she was there.
