I really enjoy the textures when nature meets street – the softness of the plants against the rough and harsh bricks. I included the church shot here because I love the textures here.

I too love the intersection of nature and street. That first shot is a particular beauty (with your signature pink!) and I love the rounded bricks of the church.
Thanks Lois! There are a lot of places here with it growing all over the buildings. I think it looks lovely. I guess I can understand that it could be a problem.

Love your photos but I’m not a huge fan of ivy. Too many spiders live in it!

Gorgeous shots, Desley. We have ivy growing up the brick of our house–my husband is not a fan, but I love it! Your photo is just lovely.

The ivy is so sharp and with the out of focus pink background it works very well.

Thanks, me too 😊 I think people thought I was a bit weird using a macro lens on a street photo shoot!

It makes for a different perspective.

That’s what I thought too. Plus there’s a comfort for me with that lens.

Why not a macro lens, whenever? You surely will always show the streets with different perspectives. Fabulous.
