The Flowers of Brunswick East (12)

Actually, more than flowers today!

Olympus OMD EM5, 60mm macro, hand held, low light, screeching shoulder (the parrot was very quiet).

I envy you your colourful birds, is this a rainbow lorikeet then?

Yes thatโ€™s a rainbow lorikeet. We had a similar one when we were kids. Iโ€™m trying to remember the type. He was green with a yellow belly. This one has blue and red as well which makes him rainbow.

I just asked Dad. Our Charlie was a Scaly-Breasted Lorikeet. I loved that bird.
