The Flowers of Brunswick East (32)

These were taken in two separate locations – the first four were right behind a fence, so I could only shoot down. The next two were in a garden, so I shot from the fence line to get more of the plant in the frame.

A striking plant, shot with my Olympus OMD EM5 with the 30mm macro lens.

Thank you! I’d love a photo shoot of this one, but they’re always too far inside people’s yards.

My pleasure. They’re an intriguing plant. Do we know what they are?

J told me the other week, but it joined the crowded room where I keep things I don’t remember. I’ll send a photo and see if it’s still in his brain.

My beloved J says it’s an oyster plant: Acanthus mollis

Aren’t they lovely? I have asked Meg above if she knows. Usually Jude or PP tells me 🙂
