Happy New Year!
I took these photos of a very pretty pink peony late last year. It was while my Mum was still staying with me after surgery. My friend Tess (who also takes care of Gidget for me when I travel) visited and gave me a little bunch of peonies – she remembered that they are my favourite flower. I really love them.
It was a few days before I felt able to shoot them and when I did, it was a very gentle shoot, on the tabletop and I took my time – this was no five minutes!
Of course, I was using my macro lens on my Olympus OMD EM5 so I had to go in closer… much closer!
I also added another prop (quite a delicious one) to the shoot, so I’ll share those shots in another post.
All the best for a wonderful 2018.

Thank you so much Tish! I love these peonies so very much. I wish for winter right now. It was almost 37 (Celsius) here yesterday and so steamy. Let’s swap a little bit of weather?

Oh yes. Please email some heat, Desley :). I’ll send you a cooling breeze while the big wind has dropped.

Recovery is going well. I’m still in Mackay with the family. Returning to Melbourne soon. Did you have a good New Year’s?

Thanks again. Me too. My friend gave me one that she started for me at Christmas and it seems to be thriving.
