Five Minutes on Mother’s Day – RegularRandom

Happy Mother’s Day to my mama and all the other mamas out there.

I picked up this gorgeous cookie on Friday and have been saving it for a pretty little Mother’s Day shoot. These were all shot in five minutes, but yes I cheated a little and took the cookie off the plate.

Second set – I thought I needed to try the cookie on the white plate.

And finally, a set with the cookie alone 😀

It’s such a pretty cookie, there’s just something about scalloped edges. I have a scalloped-edged plate on my desk at work, so I may just save it for one more day – uneaten, unscathed!

Change of plate makes such a difference. All sets a tribute to shades of pink as well as mothers! Good to have you back in the blogosphere and in my reader.

Thanks so much. A few more from this day to share over the week. It’s been very busy as usual but it was lovely to have a weekend to myself and my Camera. Hope you’re well?

Resolutely well. None of the usual Warsaw diseases – yet. I’ve still got three weeks here. And you? How is your shoulder?

That sounds good! I’m recovering from a fluey-type of virus, can’t shake the cough. But am ok! The shoulder is good. It’s getting stronger all the time.

that is SOOOOOOO cute, such a find. I hope it eventually tastes as good as it looks. I got flowers, the girls take extra special care these days to make sure they pick something I will want to photograph. Every year now I have photos of my Mother’s Day flowers, they mean something a bit special now. Before the camera they would sit on the bench and look pretty until they got thrown out, now I try to shoot them several times before they die and I have the photos after. I hope you had a lovely weekend, need to catch up soon xo

I love the last set without the plate. Sooo pretty with the flowers around it. I admire your resolve in not eating the cookie yet.

Thanks Jude. Those are my favourites too. It’s sitting in Tupperware right now, I’m taking it to work today because I want to photograph it on a scalloped-edged plate that sits on my desk there.

Goodness! That is great self-control not to eat that cookie; not sure I could have done it! Love your tea cup – so pretty! And a beautiful series of cookie love; the table setting is so ornate!

Thank you lovely. The tea cup was my grandmothers. I gave it to her as a gift when I was maybe 8 or 9. She’s no longer with us sadly, and I miss her. She would have loved these pictures.

I love how momentos allow us to reconnect with memories of our loved ones; and how they find their way back to us! Thank you for sharing the memory of your grandmother.
