I went out with a friend on Australia Day (26 January) for drinks and pizza and a few more drinks, and a stroll around the neighbourhood. It was such a lovely afternoon – perfect temperature, great conversation, really nice.
I was home by 8pm, just in time for sunset, so I spent five minutes (actually three minutes and ten seconds 😉) shooting the sky. These are in chronological order, you can see the change from warm afternoon light, through to the cooler evening light.
I love these skies, so pretty.
Thank you Melbourne.
Would you like to join in the RegularRandom crew? Here’s how:
- choose a subject or a scene
- spend five minutes photographing it – no more!
- try to not interfere with the subject, instead see it from many angles, look through something at it, change the light that’s hitting it
- have fun!
- tag your post #regularrandom and ping back to this post
Looking forward to seeing your shots.

Another five minutes very well spent. I’m glad to be one of the beneficiaries. What a sight!
