The hydrangea bouquets have been drying away quite contentedly in their vases, out of my own sheer laziness and neglect really. They’re still in the water actually – I should really sort that out.
Anyway, today I decided to photograph the pink ones, they have really held their colour so beautifully – the original photos are here.
So here is my first set of pink hydrangea, beauty in decay – I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

Thanks so much Jude. I missed the optimum time a couple of days earlier when the stamen were all still standing up but I do love the vibrant textured petals.
