Poppies in September (1)

I don’t think I’ve had fresh flowers in my new apartment since I moved in. Which is weird considering I used to buy fresh flowers almost every weekend.

This weekend was a ling one in Melbourne, Friday through Sunday, and I seriously took advantage of it. I found a new (to me) florist just up the road from my new apartment and I picked up two bunches of flowers from there. First was the ranunculus from yesterday. Today, we have the poppies. Oh my goodness, these poppies are gorgeous. It’s very har d to photograph such a vibrant orange-red colour, but it was fun to shoot and even more fun to edit.

I have quite a few to share, so tonight I’ll share the more natural shots with you.
