Colours of Summer

Julz had wanted to melt some icy poles for a shoot, so she picked up a box of them and we went through them all to find the colours we wanted. I think these colours and these photos really represent summer for me. It brings back memories of summer at home with my family, and just makes me think of warm weather and sunshine and of just being a kid again. Funnily enough, it was an overcast and cool day when we shot these – we needed help from the hairdryer to start the melting process!

Thanks Julz – this was a lot of fun, and yummy!

Make sure you go see Julie’s photos from the same shoot here.

it’s funny how something so simple can spark so many memories. I adore the pop of colour, the light and brightness of it all. So very un-me 🙂

What will the pair of you get up to next? Now I am feeling like getting some ice lollies – not to photograph, but to eat. I might wait until it is a bit more than 2 degrees though 🙂
