Momentarily Technical

Be happy for this moment. This moment is your life

– Omar Khayyam, Persian mathematician, astronomer, poet and philosopher. And very clever man.
For Justine’s Eclectic Corner #11: Momentarily.

For Perelin Colours and Lucile’s Tech of the Month: Get out when the light is right.

Sunsets happen every day. But they are always different. You’re never quite sure what you will get. And the colours can be amazing! The light at that time of day, even when you aren’t looking at the sunset, is beautiful and golden and delicious.

But you have to be quick! The best colours and streams of light can change in an instant – momentarily!!

I’ve almost reached the point now where I don’t have to be to technical when I take a photo. I shoot in Manual mode so that I have complete control over my camera. It’s difficult but has taught me so much about photography from a technical perspective. Sometimes, I really have to think about what to change to get the right shot, but these days, it’s almost second nature to me – I love it!

I took these photos from Lucile’s Red Bridge – my new favourite bridge of all time – except the last one of course, I just threw that one in to show you the bridge in it’s sunset glory.

Love the quote, and can feel its power, when thinking of you enduring that chilly wind to capture these moments. Here are the results. Stunning….and no frostbite. LOL.

It’s so true that the colors of the sky can change in a flash! You captured Amsterdam’s sun in all its glory and deliciousness!! ( I like the word delicious as you used to describe it )!

I love the quote, it’s very here and now, very Mindful! ❤

Now those photos are exactly as you said, delicious, really they are especially the first one, love it and I am so jealous that you don't have to worry about the technical stuff now it is second nature and you know it really shows in your photography, you have sped along in talent in this area like a ferrari, it's impressive beyond belief, not that you weren't good in the first place, but supreme. Love it and thank you for joining in, those sunsets and sunrises can be over in just moments you are right! I have been caught out before looking away or getting distracted by the kids and it's gone! LOL.

big hugs and chicca kisses xx
