For the Weekly Photo Challenge : Broken.
This is the Brisbane Wheel. The Unbroken photo was taken in January 2015 for my Changing Seasons post. The Broken photo was taken last week for my upcoming Changing Seasons post.
Apparently it’s just being serviced, it’s not actually broken, but while I was there for my shoot, so many people noticed the missing parts and stopped to discuss it.
Happy weekend!

Love these photos side by side. So cool to see the same Wheel in different states of repair. 🙂

Ooo! I really love these, especially the broken one on the left. It was taken at night? The spotlights really show up well in the b&w. Yay!

What a great photo and kinda spooky at the same time. Odd how one chunk is missing. It’s a bit like planes I always have that suspicion that something is broken when I go on r went on rides lol

That’s really interesting, Desley. Thank you for sharing the “broken” photo especially. I didn’t realize they would take so much apart to service it. 🙂

Thanks Norah. I was shocked to see it in pieces so I asked my dad if he knew what was going on. Here’s the news item: http://mobile.abc.net.au/news/2015-05-14/wheel-of-brisbane-stops-for-cleaning-at-south-bank/6470234 Happy Saturday to you!

Fascinating. Thanks for the link. Is there any particular reason why your dad would know, other than he’s your dad and dad’s know everything? 🙂
Happy Saturday to you too! 🙂

LOL. No he’s just my dad and dad’s know everything. He watches the news every night. All channels if he can. 😜

Love the broken wheel Desleyjane! Really good to see it fixed up too 🙂
Techy question: how did you get the pics side by side, I can’t seem to manage that for some reason.?

Thanks Deb. I just use a gallery with tiled mosaic and large size images. Does that make sense? I think those are the right words LOL.

Yep that makes sense. I’ve never done a gallery with just 2 photos before, always more. Thanks my friend!

These photos are perfect for the weekly photo challenge!
At first, I thought the “broken” picture was Photoshopped! Wow, it’s amazing how they took apart the ferris wheel to fix it..
I love the B&W effect..makes it a bit eery and kind of retro…cool!
Hope you had a great weekend!

Thanks hun. I think it will be really interesting to pick some of the photos from the changing seasons event and put them together at the end of the year so we can see the differences throughout. I’m not sure if I have many that are this close in angle but still…. Thanks so much x.
