Here is another gallery for the Cardinal’s Changing Seasons Event. My first gallery of colour shots can be seen here. There’s something about the black and white ones that really appeals to me, particularly shots with people and shots at night.
As usual, Olympus OMD EM5 with 17mm or 60mm lens, handheld, wandering my city, completely happy 🙂
If anyone else experienced the dramas with the Lightroom CC upgrade bug, I can totally relate. What a diabolical form of torture it was, but I’m so happy that it’s fixed 🙂

Love your wheel too, and the bikers. Nice crisp B&W images. So, you take the photo in colour? RAW? And then use Lightroom to convert? Just picking your brain as I begin the next chapter of my photography journey 😀

Thank you! Yes I shoot in RAW and edit in Lightroom. It was a bit of adjustment in my thinking to see the raw images as they’re not as “clean” because they show everything. When I import into LR I do an automatic camera correction and noise reduction.

Beautiful b & w images, I somehow prefer these to color at times don’t you?

These are great. I totally agree about b&w working so well for photos of people. The two guys shot is wonderful.

Thank you Su! Yes people in b&w are so much more interesting I find. The two boys – I did an experiment on FB to find them and it worked – less than a day and we had them 🙂

Love this collection. I’ve probably told you this before, but I never used to like black and white photography. Now, I freaking love it! “Meh” was hilarious. The shirt was perfect for him. “Drinkies” could have just as easily have been called “smokies”, and it reminded me of the “olden days”. Scenes like that don’t exist here anymore because it’s been against the law to smoke in public establishments for years. The wheel photos were spectacular as always. And, I do think that “never leave” may have been a sign. 🙂

Oh I hope not Amy, I’m signing a lease on an apartment today I think! Thank you! Yes black and white is something special, I love it too. We have laws about smoking too so I’m surprised about the smoking in that photo.

Beautiful Brisbane, you capture it so well. Did you read that Brisbane is now in the top 100 best cities in the world to live in?

I believe I’m more a fan of B&W now than ever. Color is cool. But…something about B&W. All cool shots.
