Macro Cacto

The state of my succulents on my balcony. Don’t mind the cobwebs!

Olympus OMD EM5 with 60mm macro (120mm equivalent) handheld, golden hour.

Oh and in case anyone is wondering about my spontaneous yellow pansy from this post, here it is now!

Fabulous. Succulents make such good subjects for macro shots and these really capture the cool textures.

Thanks Su, I love shooting them. I went out this morning and one that I didn’t photograph has an amazing fuchsia flower. Hopefully I can get a shot in the morning.

Great shots. I like cacti as subjects because they offer so much variety . . . then again, so do flowers, I suppose.

Oh, sorry to remind you of the pain. As I think I said when you started it, I have never been successful with them. Either plants get too large or they get too wet and rot…
