On Friday morning, I stubbornly pulled out my camera to take some photos of this gorgeous pink posey, sent to me by the lovely Lucile, all the way from Amsterdam to Melbourne (courtesy of FlowersAcrossMelbourne which is also FlowersAcrossAustralia).
It’s my first time holding the camera since surgery 10 days prior. It wasn’t easy, but I managed. The shots were all taken pretty much one-handed – thank goodness for 5-axis image stabilisation 😀
The RegularRandom concept is good fun – we just spend five minutes shooting a single subject, without interfering with it. Here are the “official but not official” rules:
- choose a subject or a scene
- spend five minutes photographing it – no more!
- try to not interfere with the subject, instead see it from many angles, look through something at it, change the light that’s hitting it
- have fun!
- tag your post #regularrandom and ping back to this post
I’m writing this post live today, rather than scheduling in advance. Shoulder-wise, I feel like I’m getting brighter each day. I still have at least one bad-pain session each day and need to take meds, but, as of today, its on’y been 12 days since surgery. All seems to be going well. I see both the surgeon and the physiotherapist on Wednesday this week, to remove the stitches and to review how things are going. I find the sling both hugely irritating and incredibly supportive – funny how those things work, isn’t it?
….
Gidget just came by for a visit today – it was so nice to see her again. I’m not really up to taking care of her yet, but Tess brought her around for lunch, so she could enjoy some of Grandma’s roast beef. Yes, Mum is still here and is my absolute hero.
I hope you’re all doing well, looking forward to catching up soon.
