Last week, I spent five minutes with Clarry, who is my best friend Moana’s Border Collie. While I was in the backyard, I also spent 5 minutes (4 actually) with this lovely “Stripe Me Pink” plant, also known as Rhoeo spathacea. I used to have many of these in my garden when I lived in Brisbane. Actually, I just mentioned this to Moana and she said that these are actually cuttings from my plants when I was leaving Brisbane at the end of 2016!
So this is my 4 minutes with this pretty plant. I’ll share a number of edits in another couple of posts.
Would you like to join in the RegularRandom crew? Here’s how:
- choose a subject or a scene
- spend five minutes photographing it – no more!
- try to not interfere with the subject, instead see it from many angles, look through something at it, change the light that’s hitting it
- have fun!
- tag your post #regularrandom and ping back to this post
Looking forward to seeing your shots.

Thank you Su. Can’t wait to see the shots on my friend’s wall. I think we’re printing on acrylic.
