Last week’s RegularRandom featured a pink posey of rosebuds sent to me by my dear friend Lucile.
When I did that shoot, I also shot a morning tea setup for me and my mum and I wanted to share that with you here. I found the colours so vibrant and beautiful.

It’s been 18 days since my shoulder surgery – the first ten days or so were pretty bad, quite painful. I had my stitches removed on day 15 and that helped with the tightness and pulling-feeling that only those who’ve had stitches will understand. I’m doing ok, I went back to work on Thursday just gone and it was very tiring, but good to be back. I worked from home on Friday – I worked from home for 12 years in my previous roles so I have that down pat 🙂
The hardest part is still sleeping. It’s so difficult to find a comfortable position and when I do, it’s only about 3 hours before it gets uncomfortable and then I have to start all over again. Last night was especially difficult, but at 6am this morning I rearranged everything and managed to lie on my side, which was much more relaxing.
Thank you to all of you for your messages of support and for asking how I’m doing, it’s lovely to know that you’ve been thinking of me.
