Ok, so I found this ridiculously delicious looking dessert at my new local bakery. I say new, but it’s not new, I just discovered it recently, it’s near my dog park and and it’s amazing. For you Melbourne people, it’s The Village Bakery in Brunswick (they don’t have a website).

It’s called a Marshmallow Surprise and it appears to be a cronut (croissant-donut hybrid), with marshmallow inside. I was intrigued by the thing on top – it’s pink and looks like fairy bread (😍) but it’s not, it’s made of puffed rice and sugar and other sweet things.

Please enjoy!

And some interesting filters:

Wanna join in the RegularRandom crew? Here’s how:

  • choose a subject or a scene
  • spend five minutes photographing it – no more!
  • try to not interfere with the subject, instead see it from many angles, look through something at it, change the light that’s hitting it
  • have fun!
  • tag your post #regularrandom and ping back to this post

Looking forward to seeing your shots.

  1. Love the pastry, love your styling, and another fun & delicious series of photos!
I am always delighted by baked goods which tickle all our sense as well as surprise us (with hidden goodies within!)

  2. Your photos are beautiful as always. Will have to pass on the sweet treat though — it would send my blood sugar (and eczema) into the stratosphere unfortunately 😕

I'd love to hear from you!
