Five Minutes with a Marshmallow Surprise – RegularRandom

Ok, so I found this ridiculously delicious looking dessert at my new local bakery. I say new, but it’s not new, I just discovered it recently, it’s near my dog park andย and it’s amazing. For you Melbourne people, it’s The Village Bakery in Brunswick (they don’t have a website).

It’s called a Marshmallow Surprise and it appears to be a cronut (croissant-donut hybrid), with marshmallow inside. I was intrigued by the thing on top – it’s pink and looks like fairy bread (๐Ÿ˜) but it’s not, it’s made of puffed rice and sugar and other sweet things.

Please enjoy!

And some interesting filters:

Wanna join in the RegularRandom crew? Hereโ€™s how:

  • choose a subject or a scene
  • spend five minutes photographing it โ€“ no more!
  • try to not interfere with the subject, instead see it from many angles, look through something at it, change the light thatโ€™s hitting it
  • have fun!
  • tag your post #regularrandom and ping back to this post

Looking forward to seeing your shots.

This is adorable! I think these bakery shops are onto you, Desley: “Make it pink and cute and Desley will come.” ๐Ÿ™‚

Your photos are beautiful as always. Will have to pass on the sweet treat though โ€” it would send my blood sugar (and eczema) into the stratosphere unfortunately ๐Ÿ˜•

This looks very sweet DJ. I’m with Su on this one, but I would like to see it cut in half to find the marshmallow inside.
