Last week, I featured some photos of some meringues that my friend Jing Jing at work made. She brought some more in the next day and I selected these five to set up another shoot. I had an idea in mind, using some of the items on my desk at work but I simply didn’t have time, so I brought them home and finally shot them about 5 days later.
I wanted to have a slight Christmas feel, and Lindt balls always set that tone for me. I picked up a box of “choose your own” at the Lindt store about 6 weeks ago and haven’t even had one yet! I selected one yesterday and it was almost liquefied inside the wrapper so I popped them in the fridge overnight.
Would you like to join in the RegularRandom crew? Here’s how:
- choose a subject or a scene
- spend five minutes photographing it – no more!
- try to not interfere with the subject, instead see it from many angles, look through something at it, change the light that’s hitting it
- have fun!
- tag your post #regularrandom and ping back to this post
Looking forward to seeing your shots.

This looks like a Victorian Christmas to me….which is a very pretty thing to look like! Beautiful, as always, Desley.

Thanks so much Lois 💕
Gorgeous images. I particularly love the really close-up shots of just the meringues 😀
love the details, I actually just shot some macarons the other day, I must post them soon too
